RECENT pictures....for real this time
Well after my recent realization that I had been doing a poor job of moving my pictures from my phone to my computer and taking more pictures with my actual camera, I vowed to do better. Soooo, I have some new pictures!!! The day after the recently posted video of Jude's first (actually second) roll from back to belly, he decided to take off. The very next day he was rolling all over the living room.....and is very proud of himself still every time he does it :) He at the same time started "scooting" or what I would to call doing the "inchworm." He will pull himself forward, stick his hiney up in the air, and push with his feet. He started yesterday and today trying to get up on all fours. I have a feeling I will be chasing him soon! We also went to the doctor today because unfortunately Jude has a stomach bug. Poor thing never missed a beat and has just continued to smile and play all day. We also discovered at the doctor's office that Jude is cutting teeth! There is one peeking out on the bottom! She was also able to see the top two coming down and said we may be seeing four at once. No wonder he has been a drool factory!
We went to see the house last weekend too and they are starting to do touch up work. They have installed our light fixtures, sink fixtures, granite, backsplash, air conditioning, etc. They had a delay in running the electricity to the house, but that is supposed to be up by this weekend. They will then start the landscaping and the last few things they have left to do. They are now estimating for us to close in the middle or third week of September. It's getting close and we are very excited!

| We had one day of overcast skies and late in the evening temps in the upper 80s so we broke out the "big boy stroller" and he LOVED it. He kicked for our entire walk. |

Rollin'....Rollin'....Rollin' on the floor
Jude decided to roll from back to belly the other day and I, of course, missed it the first time. He's been trying for a while and just couldn't figure out what to do with his arm. I was in the kitchen and looked up to see what he was squealing about and he was on his belly!....and he was VERY proud of himself! Well last night when we got home, we practiced. I put him down and he did it immediately. He has it down now and went from suddenly deciding he was going to roll to inchworm/army crawling! I have a feeling I am soon going to be chasing him everywhere. I put his hippo that he picked out and Mamie bought for him in front of him and he was so excited about it that he rolled over, reached his arms up, pulled himself forward with the inchworm tactic and actually got to the hippo on his own. We tried to video it and of course, he would roll, but wasn't ready to demonstrate his inchworm skills yet. He says...one trick at a time, mom!
Please excuse the length of the video and the few spit ups in between....we were trying to get him to scoot for the camera after he rolled and he wasn't interested. He had worn himself out.
A couple extra NEW pictures :) even though they aren't the best. He really likes the "football" on his jumper--a sign of a future football player like his daddy? He has also figured out how to press the buttons to make the music play. It is amazing how quickly and how suddenly he is doing new things!

Updates galore
So I'm a little behind on blogging. I knew it would happen at some point! Things have been crazy busy and I feel like I never see Jude during the week. I was able to finish everything from the week this afternoon, so I decided to spend the day tomorrow with Jude and study for licensure while he is napping. I have been doing really well studying in my "free" time at work while I am waiting on a patient and in the car. I have study cds which are incredibly boring, but it gives me study time when I have nothing else I could be doing instead. Jude actually seems to like them. It's actually pretty funny. If the music is on, regardless of what kind of music it is, he goes to sleep and sleeps all the way home. If my study cds are on, though, he actually stays awake and seems to be listening. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, ha!
Jude had his 4 month appointment on Friday. I cannot believe it has already been 4 months! He is getting big and becoming more fun and interactive by the day. He weighs 14.6 pounds now and is 25 1/2 inches, all in the 50-75%. He is more interactive with his toys now and "talks" nonstop.....and you will rarely catch him not smiling :). He is so close to rolling from back to belly he can taste it. He can get all the way over, but can't figure out what to do with his arm. He has also rubbed himself a few nice, smooth bald spots on the back of his head. He was sleeping all night, but has unfortunately started waking up 3-4 nights a week for either paci or bottle and this has been rough considering he wakes up between 3 and 4 and our alarms go off at 4:45 to get up for the day. Dr. Tomecko has recommended putting him down awake and letting him get himself to sleep. He was doing great, but he decided last night and tonight (right now) that he doesn't like that idea so much. It hurts my feelings, but I know he has to do it. He has had recent visits from Peppy and Nali who came two weekends ago and Mamie and Dude came this past weekend. He loves playing and snuggling with them as always and can't wait for the next visit. (Pictures haven't made it to my computer yet, but they will be featured in a post to come...eventually)
We typically go up on the weekends and see the progress on our house. It is really coming along. They have the stair railings up, the walls painted, the cabinets in, the tile down, and the bathtubs and sinks in. I am pleased with everything I've seen so far and can't wait to see it again this weekend.
I'm sure there is a ton I've left out from the recent weeks, but that will have to do for now. A few pictures from over the past couple of weeks. I know I have more but they haven't made it to my computer yet. I may be the worst mom in the world with so few pictures of my baby :(
