More from Christmas and Jenna Kate and Parker's visit

Jude's First Christmas

Christmas was extra special for us this year. It was Jude's first Christmas and we went to Monroe to celebrate. We had Christmas with Peppy and Nali on Christmas Eve then went to Mass. We then went back to Mamie's house where Jude, Jenna Kate, and Parker got cookies and chocolate milk ready for Santa Claus. Everybody went to bed and woke up to presents galore from Santa! Jude had so much fun with Jenna and Parker and got lots and lots of new toys! He of course was a little more interested in what Jenna and Parker were doing....and in the paper and ribbons, but has enjoyed his toys since we've been home.

After Christmas Mamie came back to Dallas with us and brought Jenna Kate and Parker to stay for a few days. We went to the Galleria where Jenna and Parker took and ice skating lesson. Jenna needed one trip around the ring and was good to go on her own. She picked up fast and did great! Parker had fun during the lesson but wasn't quite big enough to go on his own so Parker and I went to the playground in the mall instead. After that, we took Jenna to the American Girl store and I believe she was a little overwhelmed at all the American Girl Dolls, clothes, accessories, etc. The next day we went to the aquarium and saw some pretty awesome fish. Jude liked the monkeys and flamingos the best! We had a really good time when they were here and hope they come back soon. I see Parker and Jude being big buds as they get older. They were so sweet playing together :)

More from Disney...

The past month...

Last month we went to Monroe for thanksgiving. We had a great time! We had lunch with Mamie and Dude and then went and had dinner with Peppy and Nali. Jude had lots of fun playing with everyone then got to spend the week with Mamie and Dude so mama could study for the licensing exam. It was TOUGH staying away from him for an entire week but he had a blast!

I quit my job on November 22nd after unforunate changes in office morale and expectancies. I have been staying at home with Jude since and plan to start a new job back at Baylor (YAY!!) on January 9. Jude is a HANDFUL and hats off to women who stay at home permanently full time. It's so much fun but it sure is exhausting!

Mamie had a conference in Orlando last week and because I've been off work they called me and told me to go meet them there for a few days. They called me at noon and Jude and I were on a flight at 8 that night. I call it teaching Jude a lesson in spontaneity! Jude has flown with Dude before but I was so nervous about taking him to fly commercial by myself. Jude did GREAT! He slept all the way there. On the way back he slept for about two hours of the first flight then the last 45 minutes took some quick maneuvering because he was restless. I'd say for a 3 hour flight though he behaved himself quite well. We had such a good time playing with Dude and Jude made his first trip to Disney World!
