House update

Today, after "school"/work, Jude and I went up to see the progress on the new house. Last monday, our lumber was delivered and we had not had a chance to see anything since then. I was not expecting as much as I saw. They are certainly moving right along! Please excuse the crummy "from the car" shots... I wasn't able to stop and really take good pictures, but you can get the idea.

Jude's Baptism

This past weekend, Jude was baptized. It was an absolutely wonderful weekend! Mamie, Dude, Aunt Amanda, Jenna Kate, and Parker came in town on Friday night, so Jude was able to meet his cousins and Aunt Amanda for the very first time early Saturday morning. Jenna Kate and Parker were so sweet with him and I can't wait to watch them play together as Jude gets bigger. Saturday, Peppy, Nali, Aunt Kath, Matthew, Caroline, Uncle Matt, and his girlfriend Mary Kathryn came in town. We grilled hamburgers and hung out. It was so great to get have the chance to visit with everyone. We had such a good time! Sunday, Jude was baptized at 2 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Deacon Tim officiated the ceremony and he did SUCH  a great job. He really made a point to explain everything he was doing and make everyone feel comfortable and included. He also baptized Jude with a shell from Ireland, the home of his red hair :). Here are a few pictures from the weekend....

Back to work, back to work....

So Jude started "school" last week and I started back to work. It was a very sad Monday for me and I sobbed embarrassingly when I dropped him off. Tears started flowing the moment the door opened to leave our apartment at 6AM and didn't stop until about 10 when I was with my first patient. I only called three times his first day, which I thought was pretty great. He has done great at school and been happy every time I've picked him up, so that makes me feel much better about leaving him. I have actually enjoyed being back to work even though I am definitely a little rusty but I am VERY excited to leave at the end of the day. Seeing that sweet face makes my afternoon!

This is the look Jude gave me when we were leaving the apartment at 6 AM. This face says it all..."Mommy, usually you are begging me to snuggle and go back to sleep. WHY am I in my carseat and WHERE are you taking me this early??"

And just a couple extra...He's getting so big.

Jude smiling....

Warning: This is more of a video for the grandparents and it may be boring, but it makes me smile :) He was much more "talkative" before the camera was rolling....

Jude is 2 months old!

This time has absolutely flown by! Jude was 8 weeks old on Monday. He had his 2 month check up with shots today. Momma did as well as Jude did. We both shed some tears when the shots were administered but we both quickly recovered :). Today he weighed 12 lbs 2 ounces and was 21 3/4 inches. (They apparently measured him wrong at his one month check up.) He's a growing boy! We went to Jude's new "school" after the doctor so Jude could meet his "teachers" and to drop off supplies. I can't believe it's already time for me to go back to work and for him to start daycare. I feel like he was just born! It'll be a sad monday and the start of an incredibly hectic life next week!

I don't have any pictures from today because we were running late before his appointment and he has been so sleepy since. Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks though. He is so interactive now and his smile definitely melts my heart.
